NIDEK was established by engineers centering on Hideo Ozawa, the founder, in the summer of 1971 with three dreams – “Invisible to Visible”, “Visible to Recognition” and “Making Excellent Products for Vision”. Launched by only 7 people, NIDEK has expanded into the global business and currently offers its products in more than 100 countries.
To treat eyes which has complicated and delicate structure, detailed examination data and accurate surgical equipment is required. Based on the long-cultivated R&D, NIDEK has created various products using the cutting edge technology such as laser and ultrasound. NIDEK also focus on achieving more efficient diagnosis by connecting equipments for surgery, diagnosis, and examination with an electronic medical record(EMR). NIDEK also expands into the health checkup market to fulfill various needs in the medical field.
Ophthalmic care is mainly divided into 3 categories: “examination”, “diagnosis”, and “treatment”. NIDEK offers comprehensive solutions with the comprehensive product lineups such as excimer laser system, cataract surgery system, and fundus camera.
